General Information

The z-fold is besides the gate fold and the roll fold another sort of the parallel fold. At least two pages of the sheet of paper go in opposite directions. This way the folder gets its z-shape what gives it its name. It also goes by the name leporello-fold, according fold or certina fold.

There are several ways to fold paper sheets. Sometimes new ways were generated by mixing existing ways. In this article the gate fold will be explained in particular. Here are some basics:
